AGA has been serving the government financial management profession for over 50 years. As a not-for-profit organizaton, the Lincoln Chapter serves the professional interests of financial managers from all areas of government. We offer programs which provide members with opportunities to earn CPE hours, to hear local and national speakers who are leaders in the financial world, and to network with other governmental professionals. Membership in AGA is like tapping into a reservoir of actual real-world knowledge and experience of government financial management experts.
Lincoln Chapter meetings are usually held on the first Wednesday of each month from September to May over the lunch hour. The meetings are held at different locations throughout the city. Our guest speakers present topics which are of interest to our members and this date may change to accommadate a particular speaker's schedule. We also present two seminars each year with speakers from across the United States. These seminars are held in the latter part of September and April and anyone attending the seminars may earn CPE hours. In addition, we sponsor two or three audio conferences each year with national presenters and participants receive CPE hours. You do not have to be a member to attend the seminars or the audio conferences, but there is a registration fee. Members may attend the audio conferences for free, and they pay a reduced registration fee for the seminars.
National membership dues vary depending on what membership class you fall into. Full Government membership is $90 per year. This class of membership is available to individuals who have over three years of government experience. Private Sector membership is $150 per year. This class of membership is availabe to individuals working for commercial organizations. Early Career membership is $45 per year and is for government employees with less than three years of experience. Student membership is $30 per year for college/university students.
