Dear Fellow Chapter Members:

The February chapter meeting will be on February 1st at 11:45 a.m. at Tico’s. Please note that the location changed from what was announced earlier. The speaker is going to be Katie Spohn from the Attorney General’s Office. Her topic is going to be states’ rights.

The other day I was looking at the chapter’s membership roster and noticed that there are members who have not attended a chapter event in a while. Now that we are in a new year, make it a resolution to attend an AGA event. There are outstanding events planned for 2012.

Get your 2012 started right by renewing! Don't risk letting your membership or CGFM certification lapse. The AGA and CGFM annual renewals are now available online at www.agacgfm.org. It takes only minutes to renew online. Your AGA ID number is the login, and your password is your first initial immediately followed by your last name, unless you have changed your password. Electronic renewals will be e-mailed this week. Paper copy renewals will be mailed in early February. The due date for renewal payments is March 31, 2012.

In December, our chapter had three new members. I am so happy to welcome to the Lincoln Chapter, Renee Klein and Char Scott of the Nebraska State Treasurer’s Office and Vickie Kress of AS – Central Finance. If you see these ladies, please welcome them to AGA.

There is a volunteer opportunity for members in February. The annual Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon is February 25th at Parkway Lanes. Each year our chapter provides volunteers to count the donations. You can sign-up on February 1st at the chapter meeting to volunteer for a two-hour shift or you can contact Brenda Ladd.
